Well, if Jared and I succeeded in one thing concerning our parenting, it was teaching Alexis how to get excited. The other night Kathy and Kelly watched five childen in their house so their parents could go out. One of the boys, Jacob, was playing the game "Don't Break the Ice" with Lexi and Alexis laughed HISTARICALLY every time a piece of ice was broken. The boy, who is about 7, kept saying "She's wild!"
I could also tell how spoild she is. This family has a baby girl only a month younger than Alexis, and this baby girl didn't require much attention, defended herself against her brothers and sisters, and didn't really fuss when you took something away from her. Alexis, on the other hand, had a little tantrum every time she didn't get her way, tried to get all four of the older children to pick her up and hold her(one is only 4), and kept laughing at the other children EVERY time she saw any opportunity. I think Alexis wants everyone to just have a good time, but she also demands her way.
In church today she kept "Rocking out" to imaginary music during the Sacrament meeting. In RS she wouldn't stop saying "Yay!" (like in Sacrament) and kept running to the front corner of the room smiling at everybody while trying to jump, and when the Bishop walked in she kept saying "Hi! Hi! Hi!" until he left. I think Jacob is right, she is wild. She runs around and does a fake mischievous laugh all the time, has taken to spinning in circles just for the mere enjoyment of being dizzy, says "yay!", "Woah!", and "Uh-oh!" whenever something of interest happens. I am not saying she NEVER stops, and I don't think she is a WILD child; she does stop and read and sit in your lap. This girl has so much positive energy, and is so dramatic I can't help but worry about puberty; if she keeps this up she is going to be all over the place. Maybe she will become more shy as she gets older--Who knows!
She is learning lots of new words, and likes to practice her letter sounds (just the sounds--she doesn't know the letters). She still hates going to bed, and as far as she is concerned there isn't a person in the world that wouldn't want to hold her and play with her.

That is awesome. Some day I'll get to see this cute baby. She will most likely not be a baby by the time I see her. By the way you guys are always welcome to take a road trip to Indiana to visit. Also Lyla just started spinning for fun too but she won't let anyone talk to her or touch her. Just this month she started letting Mark be her friend.
That girl does have alot of character. It is funny how each baby can be so much the same yet sooo different. Blake loves spinning and dancing to music too. But he does do a gentile slap to our cheek whenever we start singing. I bet Lexie is hilarious.
I love hearing Lexi stories. She has such a huge personality. When we were at the Smith's, everything was so nice and organized. It looks like Lexi has taken over the house, lock, stock and barrel. How can someone so little take up so much room in the world?!
I totally want to be her friend. She probably is right, who wouldn't want to befriend a cute smily girl like herself.
How come we can't leave a comment on Kathy's blog? I hope she's better at blogging than I am. Give her my love, please.
