The one picture with that hat is from December--but I love that she picked the jacket, the hat, and the backpack herself.
Sorry about the red eye--but I was too lazy to use the more complicated program to get rid of it. She hasn't been really cooperative when I have tried to take pictures lately anyway--as you can probably see.
Her hair is getting REALLY long. This girl is growing like a weed. She can eat three pieces of pizza! (thin crust).
Anyway . . . here is what Alexis sounds like lately:
Alexis: I LOVE you, Mommy.
Me: I love you too, Alexis
Alexis: I LOVE you.
Me: I love you too
Alexis: I love you, Mamma
Me: I love you too, Alexis
Alexis: That's a great job!
Alexis: I want the help!
Me: Help with what?
Alexis: I want the help. Help me. I want you to help me, please!"
Me: With what? What do you need?
Alexis: AAAAAAH!
Me: Don't scream, Alexis.
Alexis: No! No! I want the Let's go!
Me: GO where?
Alexis: Let's go let's go!
Me: Where?
Alexis: I want the up!
Me: What is it that you want?
Alexis: I want the Mamma! Let's go let's go!
Alexis: I want to watch Elmo.
Mommy: Okay. Let's go upstairs.
Alexis: I want to hold Elmo.
(She does this with all her favorite movies and favorite characters. She requests the movie and then the stuffed animal/figurine she has. Sesame street= her stuffed Elmo, Yo Gabba Gabba= her stuffed Brobie, The wiggles= Her Anthony (blue wiggle) figurine, etc.)
Me/Nana/Daddy: I love you with all my heart!
Alexis: AGAIN!
M/N/D: I love you with all my . . .
Alexis: FEET! (Then she whips her head back and covers her mouth and giggles like crazy).
Alexis: AGAIN!
M/N/D: I love you with all my . . .
Alexis: Mumbles (can't think of anything I guess)
M/N/D: I love you with all my heart!
Alexis: AGAIN!
M/N/D: I love you with all my . . .
Alexis: Princess!
(The list goes on).
Alexis: I want to bed my Elmo! (She wants to pretend to put Elmo to bed).
The girl has lots of words--but she isn't putting sentences together well enough for us to understand her. I think a lot of the time she just strings her favorite words together to make her feel like she is having a conversation. Alexis is probably the silliest little girl to ever rock this planet (maybe some of you would challenge that--but no matter what she'll put up a good fight). She tries SO hard to make people laugh.

Man, I could be reading a complete transcript of conversations with Katelyn! It's so cool when they start making sentences, making sense. It's hard, though, when they can't quite express what they want. Fun for Mommy! ;-)
I love the pic of Lexi with the hat and backpack. The girl already has her own style. And it seems to match her personality so well! Thanks so much for the pictures and the conversations. What great, patient parents you are. She looks so much like you, but you were alot chubbier. But she's just as cute as you were. We sure miss you guys. Really!
I love that you wrote down the conversations, because they grow up so quickly! Alexis is adorable...my favorite picture is the last one...that face!!!
I thought the pictures said it all! She has the greatest expressions! But then, reading her conversations made me feel like I know her a little. Thanks for writing it down...I totally needed a smile!
So awesome. What a great idea. She is so adorable. I'm so glad I had the pleasure of meeting her. Miss you all
Okay, your daughter is cute, funny and intelligent. Great things for a parent when they are still children, but they are dangerous weapons when they become teenagers.
