So, Roger stopped by yesterday with his new (well, new to us) motorcycle. It is an '83 (not a bad year to be born ;) and he bought it for really really cheap and fixed it up himself. Roger is a REALLY good mechanic; just ask the Carolla ;) Kathy took a ride with him. I just sat on it. Here are a couple pictures.
In these pictures Alexis is also wearing the shirt Pappi bought for her on his trip to San Antonio for work. She LOVES the frog.
We were going somewhere the other day, and Alexis got the pink shirt she was wearing wet and dirty, so I took it off and put one with flowers on instead. Alexis SCREAMED for five minutes, crying "PINK! PINK!" until I finally put it back on.
Also, I was moving her car seat out of Nanna's car into the Carolla--and Alexis thought we were going to take Nanna's car instead. When she saw me move the car seat in the Carolla, she started crying, "Other car! Other car!" It is not a shock she doesn't like riding in the Carolla. It doesn't have air conditioning, and when I drive it the windows are down, so she plugs her ears because the wind blowing is so noisy.
Here are a couple other pictures. One baking a cake with Morgan, one to show her personality and long hair, and one with the look she gives me when she is really frustrated because things just aren't working out the way she planned. See if you can figure out which ones are which.

Who is this little girl?!! She is growing out of babydom and is now a little girl. Forget about toddler...she is so tall now. What a beauty! I wish I knew her. I wish she knew me. We are going to have to work something out next year. Good luck apartment hunting! We are so excited for you.
Love you. :)
Alexis is so cute!! It is priceless to get the different faces with the camera. It's amazing how strong their personalities show up at such a young age. You are going to have to watch those biker guys when she grows up...she seems to like the motorcycle:)
I look at those pictures and I see you. The long hair, the personality, and the attitude. That is how I imagine you when I think back to when you were young. Really, I still find it hard to believe that my baby sister has a big girl. Man I really must be getting old.
Wow her hair is long. I love the pictures. I need to take a picture of Lyla's upset face. She folds her arms and turns her head and says no. It's hard not to laugh. I think they would make good friends.
I was on a motorcycle once and then my father caught me. WOW! Never again! Laura, you look as cute as your daughter. Jared, you are pretty cute yourself. Thanks so much for the pictures. Much love to you. The pictures make it so that I don't feel like I am missing Alexis' childhood so much.
Wow she is sooo big. Her hair is adorable...she is definitally a firecracker!
The story about Alexis plugging her ears in the car reminds me of a story Evan told me about how every time Laura would sit in his truck she would cover her ears because when he turned the car on, the stereo would be blasting heavy metal music. Like mother, like daughter, I suppose. Too cute!
