This post is in honor of our friends, the Millards. Their older son, Sam, is a wiz when it comes to the makes and models vehicles; seriousely, he is way better than me, and he is only 3! Anyway, when I was pregnant with Alexis, Matt a Megan did a good job preparing him for her arrival. "Jared and Laura are going to have Baby Alexis." Sam would validate his parents as he would remind Jared, "Laura is going to have baby Alexis?" Jared would respond, "Yes, Sam. Baby Alexis." Then Sam would ask, with a confused, but enthusiastic look in his eyes, "And you drive a Kia??" One day Sam actually asked if Alexis was a car.
To help us remember them when they moved, the Millards gave us a purple hoodie with a small Lexus symbol that Megan ironed on--at least I am pretty sure she ironed it on. . . I love Alexis in purple! We miss you guys.
